Federal Police in the saddle for the Tour de France

The Tour de France will visit our country on July 6th, 7th and 8th. The coordination and support directorates of the Federal Police (DCA) of Brussels and Hainaut will be in charge of the coordination of the police measures during certain key moments during the passage of the Tour de France. Hundreds of policemen and -women from the Federal Police and Local Police will be mobilized to ensure safety around this event but also to provide useful advice to people who will be nearby in the area during the passage of the Tour de France.


A departure from the capital and a passage through Hainaut before joining France


On July 6th and 7th, the Tour de France will pass through the capital. The Brussels Capital Ixelles Police Zone, supported by the Federal Police (DCA Brussels), will be responsible for the security measures surrounding this event.


On July 8, the runners will leave Binche to cross the French border. DCA Hainaut will assume the role of coordinator of security measures during this last stage in Belgium.
