Meeting with the Secretary-General of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe

On the second and last day of his work visit to Vienna, Secretary of State for Foreign Trade Pieter De Crem had a meeting with Secretary-General Thomas Greminger of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, and the Permanent Representative of Belgium at the OSCE, Ambassador Paul Huynen.

Pieter De Crem was almost 10 years member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the OSCE and continues to follow closely its activities and current projects. The meeting gave the opportunity to discuss general activities of the OSCE and current security challenges for its member states.

The OSCE promotes cooperation between its fifty seven Member States in military, economic, and humanitarian matters and has its headquarters based in Vienna. Furthermore, Austria is currently presiding the OSCE.
