Network mission to India headed by Secretary of State Pieter De Crem

On the third day of the economic mission to India, the delegation headed by Secretary of State Pieter De Crem travelled to Ahmedabad in the state of Gujarat to attend a business seminar organized by the Confederation of the Indian industry. In his closing remarks, Pieter De Crem stressed the need to further diversify our bilateral trade. He also emphasized the knowhow and experience of Belgian companies in many different sectors that are of great importance to India and the ambitious projects of the Indian Government.

Afterwards, the new Belgian honorary Consulate in Gandhinagar was officially inaugurated, followed by a visit to the Gujarat International Finance Tec City and a meeting with the Chief Minister of the State, Shri Vijay Rupani, with whom he discussed trade opportunities for Belgian companies, as well as possibilities for Indian companies to invest in Belgium.

After meetings at the Indian Institute for Public Health in Gandhinagar and the announcement of a partnership with VITO, the Flemish Institute for Technology Research the delegation returned to Mumbai.
