Mission to London within the context of the Brexit

Discussing the consequences for Belgian companies in the UK

On the second day of his mission to London, Secretary of State for Foreign Trade Pieter De Crem visited the British branch of UCB, a Belgian multinational in the pharmaceutical sector. This establishment is at the forefront in research into new medicines and employs a staff of nearly 800 persons. Pieter De Crem discussed the implications of the Brexit on this sector and the British branches of Belgian companies in general.

Afterwards, Secretary of State De Crem had meetings in the City, the financial heart of London, and the House of Commons, the British Parliament, where he discussed the current situation and expected consequences with representatives of the British economic and political world.
