Speech at the VBO/FEB conference in Seoul

Business to Government approach vital to our Belgian companies

On Monday, June 12th, Secretary of State for Foreign Trade Pieter De Crem held a speech at the conference organized by the Federation of Enterprises in Belgium, during the Princely economic mission to the Republic of Korea. In his speech, De Crem mentioned the unique relationship between Korea and Belgium that goes back to the Korean War, when Belgium heeded the call of the UN by sending more than 3,000 soldiers to Korea.

Secretary of State De Crem also discussed bilateral trade and mutual investments between both countries, and called upon Belgian and Korean companies to seize the many remaining business opportunities. Finally, he invited the Korean Deputy Minister for Trade to Belgium to discover the many assets of our country with his own eyes.

This event allowed the participating Belgian companies to have a direct contact with Korean policy makers. Such a Business to Government approach is vital to our companies.
