Tuesday, April 10th, 2018

On Tuesday April 10th, Secretary of State for Foreign Trade Pieter De Crem had a meeting with the Singapore Minister for Environment and Water Resources, HE Masagos Zulkifli at the Egmont Palace in Brussels.

The meeting focused on the bilateral trade relations between Singapore and Belgium, with a special focus on the unique know-how and expertise of Belgian companies in sectors such as water purification and renewable energies.

Secretary of State Pieter De Crem led an economic mission to Singapore in February 2018, to support the Belgian aviation and port sectors. He also pleads for a direct link between Brussels and Singapore and visited the construction of a new port in which the Belgian company DEME plays an important role.

The recent mission to Singapore and the meeting with Minister Zulkifli aims at connecting our country even more firmly with Singapore and with Asia, one of the most important growth poles in the 21st century.
